Birth Preference Plan for Vaginal Birth

  • 10 Weeks
  • 9 Steps

About

This six-part program informs the pregnant mother on what she can expect going into a hospital birth. Through this program, the birthing woman can plan for the birth of her baby realistically. This is a self-paced course with two weeks allocated to each section. By the end of the course, the birthing mother will have a clearer idea of what she wants, how to speak to her doctor, and how to navigate the medical industry. One of the first steps pregnant women do is to write a birth plan. Unfortunately, life experiences seldom go as planned and babies aren't an exception. Sometimes, we have no option but to go with the flow and accept that certain things are truly out of our control. With this realization, the Birth Preference Plan (BPP) was created. The BPP has an informed consent focus to allow women to make the right choices when given the correct information. "It is a process between you and your care provider that helps you decide what will and will not be done to your body. In the case of maternity care, informed consent also gives you the authority to decide about the care that affects your baby," Childbirth Connection. The six parts are: Intention Setting and Eve's Story First Stage Labor Second Stage Labor Third Stage Labor Immediate Post-birth and Newborn Care Reflection This course is free to anyone who may need assistance. To receive the code please get in touch with Khadija. If your birth has turned into an unexpected c-section, please reach out and we will guide you to c-section recovery material. This course does not come with any coaching sessions and is not in place of a Childbirth Education class.
